The autogas kit installed by an approved installer consists of a gas storage tank with an electro-magnetic autogas shut-off valve, an evaporator/pressure regulator, a gas engine management computer and gas injectors.

In a bi-fuel vehicle an electro-magnetic shut-off is also added in the petrol fuel line, which is closed in autogas operation and open during petrol operation.

The LPG supply to the engine is cut off if the ignition is turned off. An autogas tank is fitted with a special filling device to ensure that the tank does not fill to more than 80%.
